Attendance | Pomegranate Events Coffee Mornings

Assalaamualaikum Lovelies! I hope that you have all been wonderful!

Last month I attended the Pomegranate Events Coffee Mornings, held at the Blue Biscuit in Belvedere road.  Has anyone of you been to Scally Wags? Well, Scally Wags has been replaced by a cute little coffee shop and a studio space for Pilates, Yoga etc. It's really is quite quint and you should definitely pop around there sometime. It has beautiful light streaming in from the windows and those white washed tables that adds to the serene feel of the place. Do check it out!

Lamees Romaney is the women behind Pomegranate Events and her idea for the Coffee Mornings was to gather women of a variety of ages to come together, take time out of their schedules, cooking and chores, to relax, learn something new, laugh with friends, enjoy some yummy treats and be pampered.

Among the speakers, were Leilah Kristens (Contemporary dancer, Personal Trainer and Pilates Instructor), Moira (Recent Survivor participant), Dr Reihana Romaney (TIBB Practitioner), The Hair Studio Team, LOreal Brand Manager and beauty therapist, Khadeeja Bray (Beauty Talk).

We started of the morning with some light stretches with Leilah, which set the tone for the rest of the morning. It was not only relaxing but also put my body and mind in the right space to face the day. Thereafter, Moira took the stage and gave an inspirational talk about her life experiences and what she learnt from it. Her main message, which really hit home for me, was that you have to show up! Life can throw you some very strange and completely unexpected curve balls  but then can also inadvertently completely surprise you! The idea is to just show up, be there and face it.

Dr Reihana spoke about the natural remedies of TIBB and how they, as TIBB practitioners first sit with you and assess your entire history.  They then gauge what kind of personality you manifest through most of your life. This will determine what medication will work for you. This entire concept was very enlightening.

The owner of Hair studio, Adiel spoke about what they do at the salon and a few lucky women got their hair styled.  There was some great give-aways from Loreal, Hair Studio, and Beauty Talk. You were also able to book a ten minute cupping session with Dr Reihana and get your eyebrows shaped with Khadeeja.
